But when I see him play. I notice his passion and how much he cares about what he's doing. That's something important for a musician to have. So because he has those things. I do respect him.

Plus he's cool as $hit!

Now I have an image in my head I don't want.

I understand that. As his own projects didn't or do not pull in a whole lot of money on their own. I believe it's true that Wes likely stays with Limp Bizkit for reasons you've pointed out. When LB tours. They actually do pretty well with the pay off. So yeah. It does make sense for Wes to remain with the band, even though by himself he's more creative.

So would you say they're still relevant?

Eh...well, I think back to what you said about G N' R when I defended they're still a relevant band due to the demand that they tour, make records, reunite with that classic line up. You said something to the extent that to you, that isn't necessarily relevance, it's more that people still like them or that it is ok to like them still.

So to answer your question. It isn't that I think Limp Bizkit is still relevant. They're just sought after to tour and release music because fans still want that from them. In the eyes of media however. You won't see or hear of LB being talked about. Not unless it's some e-magazine or a magazine that'd do any story on them, which wouldn't be a long list. Kerrang! has done a somewhat recent story, as did PRP and Metal Hammer I think. But that isn't relevance. So...no, LB wouldn't be relevant.
