Boo Bedhead is the best album on the list.

Bedheaded isn't even the best Bedhead album.

I might be persuaded to place Transaction de Novo on for one of them. For me Bedhead was always a lame blend of Post-Rock and Indie. Too slow to be exciting, but too indie to be beautiful.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

Any Bedhead album is better than Low if I'm being honest, but Low earns its spot for being influential and blah blah blah. Just pick your mainstream favourite (aka Transaction de Novo) and put that in somewhere.

I personally really enjoy The For Carnation. I enjoy lowercase for its Slint-like mood changes. If it was completely up to me, I would take off Lisa Germano, but I'm not sure that's my call to make, especially seeing that RYM significantly favors her.

Perhaps people could listen to Transaction de Novo and Geek for Girl and input their own opinions. I think until then, let's just leave things as they are.

I just noticed we don't have any Nick Cave. We should make some room for Nick Cave.

1. DNA - DNA on DNA
2. Swans - Filth
3. Mars - The Complete Studio Recordings NYC 1977-1978
4. Circle X - Untitled
5. Teenage Jesus and the Jerks - Everything
6. The Birthday Party - Prayers on Fire
7. James Chance and the Contortions - Buy
8. Glenn Branca - The Ascension
9. Massacre - Killing Time
10. Sonic Youth - Confusion Is Sex

Ah. The Birthday Party. Still, Bad Seeds is way more essential than the Birthday Party, so TBPs not a good rep for Nick.

You're right, his best album isn't representative of him... I know what you mean though.

I still think noise rock should have Sonic Youth.

https://rateyourmusic.com/customchar...one&countries=

11 of the albums on RYM's top 100 noise rock albums are Sonic Youth with 12 if you include live and archival, and you have 4 in the top ten either way.
