They transcend the rock genre, which is something early prog strived to accomplish. Complexity, however, became the common form of transcendence. At least, that's how I view it. Goin to sleep now.

Actually, they have two things in common because they're also two of the most overrated bands ever. I can dig some Floyd, don't get me wrong, but Tool ****ing blows.
