Best 90's rock band?

Although the common answer is probably Nirvana, I'd say Red Hot Chili Peppers. But a lot of good material of theirs came out in the 2000's.

Flaming Lips

Among the main public the general answer is probably Nirvana but among music critics and close followers it is certainly Radiohead. Then there is Metallica for the Metal segment, R.E.M. for Indie, Offspring for Punk. There have been many more (Cranberries, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Oasis etc).

Personaly I won't be very original and stick with Radiohead.

Korn.

All of the Chili Peppers good albums came out in the 80s.

If Kid A came out in the 90's I think you'd have a much stronger case.

What's with people putting 80s bands on the 90s list? All but one of REM's best albums came out in the 80s and all of Metallica's best albums were in the 80s.

Sounds like Korn is looking pretty strong right about now.
