Interesting. If we would represent the average rocker in our different countries, it could mean that what me and people I know in Sweden call rock, or classic rock (or 80's rock) in US is called rock, metal, early metal or hard rock.

Just trying to get the confusion of genres out of the way, so I can understand "both" languages. Then again... there are of course similarities.

I don't think that my opinion on classic rock is a universal one amongst Americans, ftr.

I wonder if some of the confusion has to do with metal in Sweden being more along the lines of In Flames, Messhugah, and the like...
