And I might think another record is better but still LIKE the inferior one more if that makes any sense.
Better albums...

Bonded by Blood is the only one I know well. Dark Angel and Overkill are bands on the outskirts of my knowledge. I saw Overkill live at least once way back. I don't remember listening to Demolition Hammer, Heathen, or Exhorder.

This will take a bit. Thanks.

Listening to the first track of Time Does Not Heal I was surprised at how technical it is. To me, borderline prog in that sense. And that's a good thing going by how I define these terms. (Do you like Gorguts?) Then I got distracted and became enamored with Leave Scars. Potent album cover! That Immigrant Song cover didn't sell me. Couldn't buy into the vocals but the title track... nice - cool tune. Then I got really side tracked and listened to Satanic Mass by Coven from 1969. Wow. I knew about that band but didn't know they went there like that. I'm sure that upset some moms back in the day lol

Too close for me to decide.

They both have the same number of albums I like, but Slayer edges Metallica because Slayer has one of the best EP's in metal, Haunting the Chapel. Metallica has some of my favorite songs ever, but I can't decide if that's more impressive than having more releases I like.

It's too close.
