Funny story. Years ago, I wanted an Aerosmith compilation for my birthday. At a Walmart, there were two different ones: one for their seventies hits, one for their 80's hits. I bought the 70's one (one of there first comps), and a couple days later, the 80's one came in the mail because Mom had ordered it from eBay before we went to the Wal-Mart. Mom didn't even tell me which one to take. Either way, I ended up with both which was cool.

I beg to disagree. There is funny "haha" and funny "strange." That story is the latter. It was funny/strange in the paranormal sense. The actions of his mom buying the 80s great hits on ebay somehow influenced his actions when he was in Wal-mart trying to decide what CD to leave behind. It's a classic example of Carl Jung's Synchronicity.

The 80's one was a b-day gift I didn't know about.

Either way, I got meself a lot of cool Aerosmith hits. Made up a big part of my latter years before music forums.

EDIT: Wait, it could've been the other way around...

Hah! It's been so long I don't remember which was the gift and which was bought. It's the first time I gave it serious thought for a long time.

Their first album is the best, their next three albums have two or three great songs and a bunch of filler, and the rest aren't worth mentioning.

Also, sex is by far my least favorite lyrical topic, but the lyrics they use are so nondescript and jargon based I don't mind. (What the **** is a poontang?)

Yep and that concert they played in IN 1978 (Texxas Jam 78) in texas was about the end of them in my opinion..... They did great @ that but after went straight to crap :(

If I could have only one of their albums I'd probably go with Rocks.

One of my favorites--a top 20 artist for me. I love their entire discography, and I've seen them live at least once each tour going back to 1975.

Ha, no. They are an overhyped band that got way more popular than they deserve.
