Along with Tankard, they're the only other German thrash band that I like. Their first three albums deserve a listen.

Seriously? You don't like Sodom? How can you like thrash and not like Agent Orange? Or like old 80s black metal and not like early Sodom and Destruction. You're dead to me.

I can't fault you for not liking Kreator though. It's taken me years to come to terms with liking them to a moderate extent. I'd direct you to Terrible Certainty. It's got their early rawness combined with their later generic thrash. Half the album is fantastic. The other half is still pretty cool. Moderately best of both worlds.

But I'm with you on Tankard being the best German thrash band. Beast of Bourbon is one of the best new age thrash albums ever.
