Most of Townsend's stuff is him making the safest, most overpolished music that he possibly can while still calling him progressive through his teeth. If he took legitimate chances in his music instead of the "whoa bro! This lame rock song just jumped from 4/4 to 7/8. Crazy!" mentality that is so rampant amongst prog rock, then I might like him. But here we are.
