Default Seether

I couldn't see a thread so I thought I'd make one.

What do you all think of Seether? They're fronted by Shaun Morgan who in my opinion has fantastic voice, intriguing personality and is a very good lyricist. I see them as something of a modern day hybrid of Alice In Chains and Nirvana. Maybe it's Shaun's personal problems that make the music so powerful and real, but what ever it is I really like it.

They've had three albums out so far and their new one is due out in 2011 (along with Crossfade, Trust Company, Dredg, Allele and Cold). Will you be buying it? Everything I've heard from them so far (apart from 'Fake It' which is quite awful in my opinion) has been amazing and their albums have been very enjoyable top to bottom so far.

You'd better not be referring to Amy Lee from Evanescence. She's the future of female vocals. She's definitely the hottest female in the metal world, too.

Otherwise, please proceed.

The 07 album, Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces, had a few singles I like, Fake it, Walk Away from the sun. Their version of George Michael, Careless Whisper is awful in my opinion. 05s Karma and Effect's singles, Because of Me, Remedy, & The Gift were OK. 02s album Disclaimer along with 04s, Disclaimer II, included the singles Gasoline, Fine Again, & Broken (maybe their best albums). 2000s release Fragile is the debut album by the band Saron Gas, which would eventually become Seether. Im not very familiar with this album, other than the single Gasoline.

Looking forward listening to their latest release, Holding On To Strings Better Left To Fray, I doubt it will hold up to Disclaimer, Disclaimer II, or (Karma and Effect), one of my favorite albums by Seether.

Amy Lee can't sing live, but I enjoy her studio recordings and am still a fan of Evanescence. As for Seether, I used to be a huge fan, but their last album was a disappointment and the reason why I stopped listening to them
