Can we all agree that Judas Priest > Iron Maiden?

Oh absolutely. But Iron Maiden has a lot of good **** as well.
I don't think Sin After Sin has been mentioned yet. Among Priest's early efforts, that one is mad undrrated. Their cover of "Diamonds and Rust" is amazing. |

I grew up loving Maiden and thinking Priest were alright with some great songs but as the years have gone on I've become more neutral to power metal, and Maiden for many of the same reasons. I still like them but they aren't a top tier band for me any more. Dirtier 80s power and speed metal like Omen and Jag Panzer is where I get my power metal fix now. My opinion of Priest has only shot through the roof though. And Sin After Sin rules of course.

I absolutely diasgree. The 80's Maiden blows the 80's Priest away. The 70's Priest albums (minus Rocka Rolla) plus Painkiller is a very good or great heavy metal material, but in the 80's Judas Priest definitely went for American dollars and wanted to become radio-friendly/commercial in the USA (unlike Maiden) so I consider none of their 80's albums great, while every 80's Maiden album is more or less great.
