Who cares about fairness though? We're talking about favourites, something's bound to get shunned in favour of another.

And again, with your use of the word "customary", I wonder if this dispute is driven by generational differences.

I agree with this. If I said (let's go back to them) what's your favourite Maiden albums I bet there'd be a few who would have Live After Death in there. It's by no means exclusive.

Dammit it's hard to choose between those two isn't it? I mean, World has 2112 and By-Tor, whereas Exit has Xanadu, Tom Sawyer, the Trees...

Sorry but this is quite simply the dumbest thing posted on this site in a quite a while. I've seen them at least 4 times and actually stopped because I got tired of seeing them play so any of their most popular songs as carbon copies.

I could do this all day. Rush was never a jam band that would expand their songs with improvisation. They might extend and intro or outro a bit or include a drum solo section but they never jammed per se.

I wouldn't say carbon copy, when I saw them on their Time Machines tour, they had a much higher energy that brought a different dynamic to the way they played. They were pretty true to the songs because, you know, it's prog, but it is most certainly a different animal.
