****ing Christ! Soundgarden just came to town, and I was going to go, but decided to wait til my financial situation was better...

RIP Chris Cornell. You left an indelible mark on me and my childhood.

I know I posted something similar in the Soundgarden thread that's on here, but I saw his Scream tour when it went 'round, which was roughly eight years ago, because time is a god damn thief. Respect the hell out of Soundgarden's catalogue, and it's not metal or grunge, but "Never Far Away" is my personal favorite, individual Chris Cornell song. I really enjoyed this album and seeing Cornell perform it.

Chris Cornell - "Never Far Away"

I have more memories attached to his music, but it's not necessary right now. R.I.P.

Don't jinx it. Or else he might not die.

RIP Chris

Soundgarden was huge for me and I'll always have memories with his music.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

RIP Chris,

Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog, are still some of my favorite groups. Soundgarden especially as it was instrumental in pushing me towards listening to heavier music. His voice was so unique and indistinguishable from the crowd he got lumped into. I'll miss him even though I never personally knew the guy. Rest in peace...

Oh and...

Superunknown > Badmotorfinger

Badmotorfinger has some cool songs, but loses my interest after the first few songs. Superunknown has some songs I don't care about, but the ones I do are fire, and the diversity keeps me from wanting to turn it off. At least when I'm in a Soundgarden mood.
