Guy needed a shrink and a chance to grow up not millions of dollars and a celebration of permanent adolescence

Cause alternative artists in general are known for their mental stability.

They didn't know about Chuck. They equated metal to all rock music basically.

That's weird. At this point metal isn't even really rock subgenre anymore.

Did you know about Chuck Berry as a teenager?

Of course. He's an extremely famous musician. I knew about him even as a little kid.

It isn't all that weird. There were metalheads in school still listening to Trash and Death metal with their Maiden and Slayer shirts.

I'd say the emergence of thrash, death, and black metal is when metal began to become its own genre, separate from rock.

Cultured? lol. Little kids generally know the names of well known artists, it's really not weird. I knew who Elvis was too—crazy!

Their music probably reached, and helped and meant a lot more to people than anybody on this forum's music combined. Regardless if they were 14 or not, I've seen a ton of people who essentially grew out of the music morn this death because of what it meant to them at that age. Hatin ass bitches.

Ah the ole "well let's see you sell a million records" gambit. Linkin Park gets shat on for blatantly trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Deal wit it.
