Basically the best enabler ever. Can't hate cause my shoulder's feeling way better and the Insane Clown Posse are better than ever.

I love metal like nothing else, but it's definitely not the most ****ed up genre ever by a mile. It, along with extreme punk, is just the most aggressive. Which is fine and dandy and awesome, but if I want something to be the most horrific then I'm gonna have to look elsewhere.

Anybody listened to the Drone Metal band Autokrator?

Every single one of my closest male friends from back east is either dead, divorced, extremely messed up, or an AA zombie.

I totally get that AA works for some. Just don't be "that" guy who thinks he's got me all figured out.

Dude! We smoked angel dust and listened to Floyd's Animals together while wasted out of our minds.

Do. Not. Preach. To. Me.

Self righteousness as an afterthought doesn't work in this house.

I'd rather ruin all of my relationships, lose my job, and become homeless than become the kind of loser who eats up circular reasoning like "it works if you work it."

And @ OP

NGL I don't jibe with Doug Stanhope's view of addiction, but his view on AA has me scurred. I'd only go to find drinking buddies.

Although I guess as a genre free jazz doesn't isn't the most consistently heavy though. Death metal is an easy answer, but maybe power electronics with all of their meth induced shrieking might top it? I guess it's more intense than heavy but it's still with considering.

The Batlord 11-25-2017 02:11 PM

Death metal really isn't the most heavy or brutal either though, it just makes you think of heavy and brutal. How much of death metal actually qualifies as the most heavy or brutal music? A pretty small percentage, right? Grindcore more so, but still, it's kind of a crap shoot.
