Tough one b/c Sabbath's hard rock (which evol. into metal) and Zepplin's blues-based.

Oranges and apples.
(But, then I've found way out of eternal Beatles/Stones debate, too: Beatles best Pop, Stones best Rock!)

Voted for Zepp; think blues-based rock stands test of time better.

Fav. albums of each: Sabbath: Paranoid. Zepp: II

To say Sabbath isn't blues-based is a gross misreading of their music.

Post Black Sabbath vs. Led Zeppelin

Agree to disagree. And, I will agree to the extent that all rock evolved out of the blues.

The comparison was Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin and I don't think of the blues when I hear Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath is usually credited as one of the pioneers of metal. I don't dislike Black Sabbath. I've rarely ever gotten more than 1 or 2 albums from any artists, unless I've liked a lot and for Led Zeppelin have owned 3, Black Sabbath 4.

You do know their first band name was the Polka Tulk Blues Band, right?

They'd be getting sued for causing ovarian cancer right about now.

I checked who voted who and to date Zeppelin is winning with three banned members compared to Sabbath's two.
