You just need to recognize when someone is being hilarious.

Snarky, not hilarious. You of all people should know the difference between the two. I'm disappointed man.

So how many times have you peeps seen Rush? I can remember 5 shows, the first of which was in front of about 1,500 people on the Fairwell to Kings tour - right before Rush exploded in popularity.

I misread this thread title as "Bush officially calls it quits", I thought Bush 41 finally kicked the bucket.

You explicitly called it a joke

joke
jōk/Submit
noun
1.
a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, especially a story with a funny punchline.
"she was in a mood to tell jokes"
synonyms: funny story, jest, witticism, quip; More
verb
1.
make jokes; talk humorously or flippantly.
"she could laugh and joke with her colleagues"
synonyms: tell jokes, crack jokes; More

hi∑lar∑i∑ous
həˈlerēəs/Submit
adjective
extremely amusing.
"a hilarious dialogue from characters we never meet again"
synonyms: very funny, hysterically funny, hysterical, uproarious, riotous, rollicking, farcical, rib-tickling; More
boisterously merry.
"an old man was in hilarious conversation with three young men"
synonyms: very funny, hysterically funny, hysterical, uproarious, riotous, rollicking, farcical, rib-tickling; More

snark∑y
ˈsnšrkē/Submit
adjectiveNORTH AMERICANinformal
(of a person, words, or a mood) sharply critical; cutting; snide.
"the kid who makes snarky remarks in class"
cranky; irritable.
"Bobby's always a bit snarky before his nap"

As you can tell by these definitions, jokes can be neither snarky nor hilarious. I rest my case.

I saw them once on their Time Machine tour where they did a 3 hour show. Was cool and the drunkest, dorkiest, sausegefest of a concert I've ever been to.

3 Times

Touring signals grace and power windows

I actually think Grace might have been the best. I still love that record

Power Windows was their first crappy record so grace was when they had the most good material and least had material.

Quote:
Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In geometric order
An insulated border
In-between the bright lights
And the far, unlit unknown

Growing up, it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass-production zone

Nowhere is the dreamer
Or the misfit so alone

Subdivisions
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out

Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth

Drawn like moths, we drift into the city
The timeless old attraction
Cruising for the action
Lit up like a firefly
Just to feel the living night

Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight

Somewhere out of a memory
Of lighted streets on quiet nights

Subdivisions
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out

Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth.

I actually love Power Windows. Thought it was the best of their 80s synth heavy period.

Whatever you say Frowny....
