I like Rush ok enough, but, as a casual fan, I only own a few of their CDs, and nothing newer than Grace Under Pressure.

I actually got to meet them once when I was in high school, while I was washing dishes at a 76 truck stop. It was just off I-95, about halfway between Philly & Baltimore.

My boss came in and said "One of those long hairs you like is out there."

"What?"

"On your shirt, one of them's out front."

So, I go to the order up window, and there sit Rush and a couple others. I guess because Neil & Alex had short hair, my boss didn't know they were in the band.

Not surprising, though, considering when he said 'on your shirt', and I was wearing an Aerosmith tour tee.

I managed to get Geddy Lee's autograph, as they were leaving. He was actually a little shorter than me. The other two slipped past while he was signing a menu.
