It's weird and brilliant. I still think there's a lack of consistency on the second half, but it's still a 9/10 album at worst.

But seriously though. Weirdddddd. When you consider that fellow Quebecois Cryptopsy saw the release of None So Vile with a rabid dog as a vocalist before Gorguts released this, you know you're a ****ing weird band. :P

I think Gorguts not getting an album deal back then probably has more to do with the fact that death metal fans weren't ready for this album. Ironically, the only people I've ever known who dislike this album are death metal fans. Even the prog. fans acknowledge this as a work of art (except for Trollheart lulz).
