Default Recent Metal Purchases

figured we need one in here.

My last 2:

Had to pick it up when I saw it. Basically the album that got me into Death Metal. For nostalgia factor (as well as it being one of my favorite record), bought it on CD when I saw it.

Got the 20th anniversary edition with the bonus live DVD. Another one of the essentials I had to pick up.

Purchases...umm the most recent albums I "acquired" were these

Not really metal at all, but it's made by people who make metal so I guess it counts. Great avant garde atmospheric stuff to chill out to

Some pretty cool throwback Swe-death, buzzsaw guitars and all. The album also has a crust inspired sound which I love too

Nice idea for a thread.

Producers 2 disc edition.

Nothing special I'm afraid.

As the Palaces Burn is probably my favorite Lamb of God record, what did you think of the new one?

What do you think of the Tiamat album? I love that band and from that album onwards they just got more and more interesting.

Got these two CDs for only €2 each

Evile - Enter The Grave (2007)
Old-school thrash metal from a relatively modern band. The influences are very obvious - Slayer and old Sepultura. But despite not reinventing the wheel this is a pretty good album with some good moments such as 'Bathe In Blood'.

Darkthrone - Under A Funeral Moon (1993)
I already like it more than A Blaze In The Northern Sky but maybe not as much as Transilvanian Hunger. Either way it's a damn good album.

Need to listen to that one more. "A Blaze..." is actually my favorite by them so far.
