If they do it own't really be Creeed since Stapp's solo and that one guitarist guy got saved and is doing Chrisitian stuff now

I have almost no experience with Creed. I only know a couple of their songs...though what I've heard I do like.

I own Human Clay, have owned it for a good few years. I don't listen to it much, but I can say that it definitely had the Christian theme going for a while. "Higher" comes to mind.

They were good with their first album, but dropped off from there, in my opinion.

Creed makes me not want to be a Christian. The only good thing Stapp ever did was beat up 311.

I still think they're decent. "My Own Prison" is really anything that surpases good.

Creed were a boy band with instruments who were marketed for 12-14 year olds (who had no taste in music!).

Creed sucks so much ass! They may aswell be Nickleback, and they both may aswell stop making whatever the hell that is and go hide in a deep hole for the rest of their lives. *fights uncontrollable facial tick*

"With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher" are their two best songs.

I hate Creed just as much as anybody, but if you can't put just a little bit of thought into your posts, then just don't post at all.

Creed had a lot of internal issues.

The band decided to part ways with Scott because he was getting incresingly hard to work with and Scott wanted to do a more Christian focused album - Which Creed weren't willing to do.

But they still blow.

I feel this way about a lot of bands..

I love their first album..then I think they are ****e...am I close minded..to the possibility that music...evolves...no no..I wont believe it..jk....

I actually enjoy their music quite a bit. Scott Stapp has a great voice and it went great with Tremonti's guitar. Their songs were epic and had great lyrics.

Easily one of the worst bumps in MusicBanter history.

Creed does not write music. They are no artists. They learn a couple chords, a melodic a,d, or g minor clean break, really bad vibrato vocals and lyrics containing piss-poor imagery.

I dislike them. Intensely.

My Own Prison is not a bad album..its not great..and everything that followed was crap..but its beats a lot talentless crap you hear on MTV.

what?! Creed is easily one of the greatest bands of the 90's. Theyre leaps and bounds above the cookie cutter sh*t that most bands put out these days.

Ok, that is bull**** Ian, you may dislike them but the same argument you just made has been made about Nirvana, and one could argue Creed had much more complex melodies and chord action than Nirvana. They wrote awesome music, not all of it was great, but their best was epic. All three albums have great songs Nananer, are you sure you listened to all of them?

I have..my cousin is really into them..I have this wierd..thing that I am trying to overcome..its a first album bias thing I have with a lot of bands...and I am not saying that everything but My Own Prison sucks..I just dont think it compares..in the same light..BUT I am always open to suggestion.

I totally get what you're saying, I had the same problem with Ryan Adams and Sufjan Stevens, Cold Roses by RA was the first album I heard by him and nothing else ever compared. However, I gave Heartbreaker a shot and it grew on me. You should do the same, I find it hard to believe that someone who liked My own prison would completely miss the awesomness of say, "Who's got my back" or "Stand here with me" from Weathered...

You know, it's so strange this thread got revived , I made a thread about Creed on my queer forum today, just happened to be in the mood for them after quite a long time, and have concluded they still kick major ass regardless of what anyone says....Creed + new speakers with a bombass subwoofer on max. volume= rock orgasm :)

I will stop by my cousins house and take home his collection and do that..give it another shot..I might end up totally digging at thanking you tomorrow!

Point 1. Don't be a hypocrite. oojay didn't you say Radiohead sucked somewhere? Go make better music then them before you say that. I KNOW Marijan has dissed a band before.

Point 2. That argument works both ways, how about before you can judge that the melodies are good you go write some good melodies so you know for sure what you're talking about.

Point 3. I make music, which I easily consider better then this 90s rock trash. Therefore creed sucks, and before you say I make worst music thats just your SUBJECTIVE OPINION on it.
