Theres a difference between an actual thought out factual opinion and something pulled out of your ass. You can't tell me you're such an idiot to think farting takes more talent them assembling an actual thought out hard worked album.

I love Creed, 'Six Feet From The Edge' is a fantastic song. I also have a live version if The Door's 'Roadhouse Blues' with Robbie Krieger, amazing! They're nothing special instrument wise, but the vocals are great. They're greatest hits album was cool too.

No, this particular argument is not beyond stupid because it was specifically aimed at his comment that the melodies and chords are uber simplistic. I didn't touch his opinion on their suckyness.

I gave them another shot..and I still feel the same way..My Own Prison was less MTVesque and more real...it sounds like they felt it..that it come from somewhere other then the almighty dollar..

Fair enough. But I stand by what I said, I'm confident that within a week or two, I can learn all but the guitar solo's in their songs. I do play piano and read music, but I don't play guitar, so it wouldn't be like I already know how to play it.

And as for writing material like that, it's really not that hard. You use a simple chord progression, repeat, throw in a clean break, back to riff.

Not so, nu-metal does exist. Its a mix of metal and urban music. Creed lacks any metal elements what so ever and therefore isn't nu-metal.

Creed. Now that's a band whose name I ain't heard mentioned in quite some time.

But now that they come back to the old memory... they really weren't very good, were they? The only song of theirs that I admit to liking quite a bit, is One.

To me they fall within the now notorious category of "bad band, with a few good songs". I prefer something that I can dedicate a little more of my time to.

basically the band broke away from scott stapp and got a new vocalist and they now call themselves Alter bridge which is even less bearable than creed. which is damn near impossible.

Scott stapp now has a solo career and i hope he's going broke trying to pay for recording studio time and other such necessary expenses.
