I'm incredibly far from having a solid opinion of the band on a track to track basis though. I can see their influence clear as day but they only rarely hit God status for me and when they do, it's usually as a part of the SYR series.

Not trying to lecture you but I think you ought to really meditate on Bad Moon Rising a few times. A few really deep listens. I know you know enough to have a very informed opinion I just think well it doesn’t make sense to me why it wouldn’t resonate completely with you.

I'd ask how it compares to his other works before making my diagnosis because gods can thwart gods even if that's themselves. I get what you mean though.
