Default Megadeth's Dave Mustaine diagnosed with throat cancer

From his and Megadeth's Instagram accounts:

Quote:
Iíve been diagnosed with throat cancer. Itís clearly something to be respected and faced head on - but Iíve faced obstacles before. Iím working closely with my doctors, and weíve mapped out a treatment plan which they feel has a 90% success rate. Treatment has already begun.

Unfortunately, this requires that we cancel most shows this year. The 2019 Megacruise will happen, and the band will be a part of it in some form. All up to date information will be at megadeth.com as we get it. Megadeth will be back on the road ASAP.

Meanwhile, Kiko, David, Dirk and I are in the studio, working on the follow up to Dystopia Ė which I canít wait for everyone to hear.

The throat is real...

Hope he pulls through, I'm sure he'll get great treatment and all that.

Yeah, he says the odds of being cured are pretty high.

One of my most beloved uncles died from throat cancer. But as I remember, he started the treatment somewhat late.

My dad had throat cancer a few years ago now. First surgery ended up being a success. Hope Mustaine pulls through.

Or he'll have to hire another singer.

I think they'd split up instead.

Dude's a badass, he'll surely beat cancer.
Also he says chances of recovery are 90% so we just have to wait. Wonder what's made of the new album though! Has he recorded vocals already?
