Thumbs up Rush....age isnt an issue

I was just thinking, rush may be some old people, but their music is incredible...i'd have to say that these guys are definetly one of the main influences of progressive music and how about geddys bass....could anyone ask for a sweeter bass?

I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

I agree, Rush are a brilliant band and Geddy is very talented.

Gedddy Lee & Neil Peart are absolutly amazing.
Rush is a fantastic band, 2112 is an amazing experience everytime i listen to it, which seems to be all the time.

Rush is one of the most influential bands of all time, in my opinion.

I love Rush. Despite it being corny at times, you can tell they have fun making music. And it's progressive rock with soul. Effort goes into the songwriting. They're all masters at their instruments. And the vocals are an acquired taste .

Well... Great musicians they are... But if we are talking about quality songwriting in prog, they don't compare to Roger Waters, Robert Fripp, Ian Anderson, Peter Gabriel and Peter Hammill. IMO.

And like ELP the lyrics aren't really that important, they just let the music do the talking.

I love Rush, though i think they are a little overrated compared to other lesser known but equally talented prog bands.
