I've become a bit obssesed with Rush during the last week. I've never heard a voice like Geddy's. It's like a high-pitched tuneful squeaky shout.

With the exception of "Counterparts" this is classic era Rush, also check out "Moving Pictures" and "A Farewell to Kings" The best two Rush albums along with 2112.

I remember feeling the same way back in the 70s, wow...I cant believe that was 30+ years ago! I just cant imagine a life of playing my own music like these guys have done, along with alot of other artist, for so many years. 2112 was a landmark album that really defined that era of rock, the song was a story....15 to 20 minutes long. As so did other bands like Yes, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, etc. I think rock music had progressed to a stage in that era, of 'perfection'. Rock, Opera, Classical,....song arrangement along with the level of talent in those days was simply outstanding.
