Emo and Rap regularly get bashed for one primary reason, they are popular.

Prog isnt popular enough for a bunch of dumbasse's to take enough time to make posts like "Prog BLows thankz god punk kill3d It LolZzZz" yet it would be just popular enough to have a forum that wont die down in just a week....Thats my opinion anyway.

And as for the if its rock it can be posted in the rock forum thing, why does Punk get a forum then?... Since punk isnt all that different from standard rock, its really not all that unique, prog is different, and as a whole, its just as huge as Metal and Punk, just without the media coverage and corperate suck ups.

Because as you said.
Punk is popular enough as is emo and hardcore which come from it.
Therefore more people would dicuss it.

Grow up. If you think that he is so wrong then be the bigger person and drop it and move on. It's not that hard and You haven't made the most intelligent threads either. Most of them are "Is so and so better than such and such" "Who is the Best blah...". So don't tell people what to do when you don't do it yourself. That is called being a hypocrite and hypocrits are the worse kind of people imaginable.

I think prog would have a solid forum here if there was one, its not as popular as Punk or Metal that is true, but its still more popular than you think, its certainly more popular than some of the genres that have gotten their own forums here (electronica, classical, etc)...If we had a prog forum, or a prog sub-forum, i would make sure it would get a lot of posters....So far, i have a lot of supporters on this forum, and my campaign hasnt even started yet.

Trust me, im a internet celebrity, i have several friends from forums past, and i could tell them about MB and get them to join...We'll have a party. :pimp:

so bring them in, nobodys stopping you from posting prog bands. this isnt an anti prog site.

As for why is there electronica and classical forum, well you wouldnt go and put a herbie hancock thread in hip hop, or discuss beethoven in metal would you, its not a very good argument you got goin on.

I understand... But if you found a Mike Oldfield or Kate Bush thread in a rock and metal forum and below a korn thread, wouldnt you find that a little.... Wrong?

Fenixpunk 12-10-2005 12:39 AM

honestly the only song i can think of by kate bush is Rocket's Tail and ya, that is kinda a rock/blues style tune, and i cant think of anything off the top of my head from Mike Oldfield, but if he doesnt fit into any of the forums we already have, then theres alway "General Music"
