AND PROG DOSENT?... I pity a fool who dares to put Symphonic Prog, Space Rock, Progressive Metal, Kraut Rock, Prog Folk, RIO/Avant Prog, Canterbury, Post Rock, Neo Prog, Indo Prog, Itailian Prog, Fusion, Art Rock and Zeuhl into the same catagory.

And the punk movement may be bigger than prog, but not by much, the prog movement is huge, just because the media is too full of itself to cover it dosent change anything.

No offense to either of you but this forum will only have a few posters lets face it not to many people care for prog rock (i dont and have no interest too) its just not gonna be active.

We should let fate (and the poll) decide, i think it could work, i think if people are open minded enough, they will be interested...It will get more attention than the classical music and electronica forums, i can assure you that.

If we were to have a prog section then we may as well create a Death Metal section too, and so on.

Only prog isnt just a sub genre, it has many of its own sub genres, and unlike death metal, it has been a massively influencial genre for the the past 30 years...You guys already have one for emo, what impact does emo have?, very little compared to prog. Its just popular.
