Sorry to double post, but the convo has kind of died.

Is anyone a fan of The Who? I like them a lot, though I don't have any of their actual albums. I've got The Who, Then and Now, which is a compilation album, and a burned copy of Live at Leeds. I think their live stuff is amazing, you can really feel the energy they put off. My favorite song is probably Pinball Wizard, it's such a classic. So, anyone like them?

i love the Who. they were the first classic rock band i got into. I have The Who Sell Out, Tommy, Live at Leeds deluxe version, Live at Leeds extended version, Who's Next origianl version, Who's Next extended version, and The Who By Numbers. asked my family for Quadrophenia for Christmas, so hopefully i get it. Pinball is good but there are so many other songs that are better, IMO. Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Reily, Pure and Easy, Naked Eye (great song), I Can't Explain, just to name a few. in short, i love the Who

I tried downloading Tommy a while back but something screwed up and I only got like 6 tracks from it. The ones I got were good, and from what I've read it sounds like a rather interesting concept. I heard the movie was terrible though, has anyone seen it?

Btw antman, I love your sig dude, those are some of my favorite Zep lyrics.

The who is great. Pete townshend is better than he is made out to be. The are also amazing live, I read somewhere that the record for the highest decibel rating at a rock concert was set by the who. Keith moon, what can I say one of the best if not the best rock drummer of all time. Same can be said for their bassist, amazingly quick. Plus you gotta love it when pete and moon smash the **** out of their instruments at the end of the concert. Won't get fooled again is a masterpiece and my fav. by the who. Also up there is my generation, baba o reily, and squeezebox, I know it sounds strange but I take a great liking to squeezebox. Pinball wizard is cool just becuase its about a deaf, dumb blind kid that plays pinball, cool story. I have a vid. of the who performing wont get fooled live, its amazing. People say I look like pete townshend in his late teens, which is cool I can sort of see the similarities.

yes you are probly right. For a while they had the record though. "They made the Guiness Book of World Records for loudest concert for a show in London on May 31, 1976. The record was beaten several times before Guiness stopped listing it because too many people were losing their hearing."

john entwhistle?
Indeed.
