i happen to be a cream fan.

i recall reading a story about jack bruce's life after cream called it quits. sometime in the seventies he took up jazz and was excited about showing folks what he had been up to at a dinner party in london. apparently all sorts of industry heavies, musicians, and other music community types attended and bruce started playing jazz licks on the bass. it turned out that absolutely no one was at all interested in what he was offering up and he turned into just background noise, at one point finding himself alone in an empty room weeping. so sad considering how powerful a voice and how talented a writer he is.

pubic television in these parts just broadcast cream's reunion back in may at the royal albert hall. they played ten or twelve pieces. some sounded dated others were pretty average....but three or four were magic. in their sixties and still rockin!!!' a charmed existence man.

yeah. i'm a cream fan.

right on. I thought the reunion concert was pretty decent considering how old they are, granted the vocals were pretty bad, but same goes for most groups that old that still perform. Bruce is a great bassist, and a great vocalist. I think cream has a really unique sound that I happen to like a lot, and I wish they would have put out more albums but Every song that they have put out kicks ass. It took me while to get into im so glad, but its one of my favorite tunes for sure, and it kicked ass live at the reunion concert, clapton can sure solo. That is why I Like classic rock, you can take a trio of old, wrinkled up men in their 60s, stick them on stage and the concert will be sold out in no time. I was slightly dissapointed though to see that baker had backed off quite a bit on drums, he is an amazing drummer, gotta love the song toad Clapton is in my top 5 guitarists by the way
