trust me, you havn't heard it all. You'll get there, baby steps. Just stick to the plan of staying open-minded.

One rapper sucking doesn't equate to all rappers sucking.

Wolf Eyes is terrible, not all rock bands are terrible.

Either what? AIM is free, pick it up. It seems like alot of the international kids don't have it, so I don't know if you can get it overseas, but if you can pick it up, I have thousands of crap I can send you that you might like.

Quit it with the ignorance and maybe you can work you're way up.
Besides, this is the classic rock thread.
Not the I Hate Rap thread.....If you want to talk about how stupid rappers are, then go and make your own thread in the Rap/Hip Hop forums, and prepare to get the **** flamed out of you.
You ignorance baffles me.

The best selling rock band of all time is the stones.
That isnt just a guess of mine, it is fact

I like classic rock, it is overrated, but I can dig some.
The Beatles, Solo Lennon, Solo Harrison, Yardbirds.
More that I cant think of.
Not to keen on Zeppelin, they sing about lord of the rings.......
On like 2 or 3 songs.

You want real classic rock folks??? This is one of my faves
--------------------------------------------------------------------------Artist/Band: Daniels Charlie
Lyrics for Song: Stroker Ace
Lyrics for Album: A Decade of Hits

Stroker Ace was born to race
He had a mean streak ten feet wide
A son of a gun with a taste for fun
And more than his share of pride
Take a dirt road curve with the Devil's nerve
And make a car dance across the mud
Haulin' shine was his regular line
'Til the track got in his blood

He was a real hot shot and he bragged a lot
But man, that fool could drive
Cause he loved the feel of a steering wheel and the girls with the bedroom eyes
And in a racing tight or a bar room fight
Old Stroker stole the show
A back street blazer and a real hell raiser and a racetrack Romeo

Mama lock your daughters up that wild bunch is back in town
And them little girls get frisky when they hear that racecar sound
They bringin out the yellow flag, somebody's brakes have failed
There's an oilslick on the inside and a wreck along the rail
You better stand on it, Stroker, cause a bandit's on your tail.

It's a downright joy for a country boy
When he hears them engines moan
But you gotta hang tough and it gets real rough
When you're out there on your own
Cause they'll push you around, they'll knock you down
When you're up there against the wall
And you always know when an engine blows
That a man can't win 'em all
You could push that car just a little too far any Sunday afternoon
And if you break your neck in some damn fool's wreck they'd forget about you soon
But old Stroker Ace was born to race and it's worth all the trying
Just to drink champagne in the Victory Lane and to hear that concrete whine

Stroker get your dander up this ain't no time to lag
You've got to make a lap up if you want to take that checkered flag
Number ten is closin' in to even up the score
It's time to wave bye-bye and put the pedal on the floor
You better stand on it Stroker cause you're blowin' off their doors.

Spoken:
Blow their doors off, Stroker. Stand on it, Son. Ah, you good lookin' devil, you.

Thank you boo boo, but I have also pointed this out to him before, but he is too close minded. Ironic he likes the Yardbirds and not Zeppelin. I guess 3 songs can ruin an entire band for him, funny that's the sort of thing he preaches against left and right on this forum.

Good Call, Charlie Daniels can write some freakin lyrics, He in a way reminds me of Dylan sometimes. I am also fond of devil went down to georgia and Uneasy Rider too.

I would suggest getting by the Who;
-My Generation
-Pinball Wizard
-Behind Blue Eyes
-I Can See For Miles
-Won't Get Fooled Again
-Squeezebox
-Baba O'Reiley
-Eminence Front
Eminence front has what I feel is the best guitar improv work by townshend at the beginning of it.

Murder Junkie - I love Charlie Daniels, that's one of my favorite songs. Uneasy Rider is my favorite.

Kashmir - I would add to that list of Who songs Love Rein O'er Me. It's a wonderful demonstration of Daltry's talent.
