2 albums?

And one of those came out in 1980. And again I ask , why discount the Stones 70s material?

I'm not discounting the 70s Stones material. I just don' think its as good as their 60s stuff, in my opinion anyway. Brian Jones and Mick Taylor era Stones are my favorites.

Anything the Stones put out in the 70s, is by far greater than anything KISS put out. My opinion....yes, fact......yes.

I like how you casually leave out the part of my post that says 'yes, that is my opinion'

I can see both sides of this argument. Kiss was a very influential band in the 70's, there's no doubt about that! Yes, they had a HUUUUGGGEEE impact on pop culture and still do to this day! Musically, Kiss was not great! Every band listed in any other post in this thread were better musicians by far, than KISS! Influence is too broad of a term to ever state a fact on! You never know what or who someone is influenced by. Just because they state that they are influenced by KISS in an interview or a book, doesn't mean that they weren't also influenced by half the bands listed in these posts. It is the cool answer because it is the one everyone else uses and also because everyone is familiar with the name KISS! Not everyone may know who Television is!

I would rather die known by few as talented than known by many(and hated by at least half of them) as a trashy glitter band.
