People say they like the Velvets to appear cool & arty ,That`s what Warhol gave the band. Thats the image, it`s nothing to do with clothing.

Do you actually think that the people who say they like the band stick on Sister Ray & listen to it on a regular basis?

And when did Green Day come into this discussion?

In fact, i'm still trying to figure out how ELP came into this discussion.

Every other thread eventually gets around to Green Day not being punk. I wasn't directing it towards anyone. I was just trying to provide a little comic relief.

Very little, apparently. LOL.

Kurt Cobain was a fraud!!

Kiss didn't get it right because it was "stolen" riffs about sex, but because it was about passionate people who felt that people should be writting about what they knew, not what they read.

To this degree Kiss is closer to the 60's folk movement than the prog bands.
Here we go with comparing prog to other genres again.

ELP only had 3 real radio hits (Lucky Man, Karn Evil 9 1st Impression Part 2 and From The Beginning)... Tons of radio stations however kiss Gene Simmons ass, i don't see how ELP are the radio band, their popularity faded before KISS were even on the scene.

Though either way, ELP + Green Day > KISS.

Also the quote about KISS being an improved version of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, i couldn't help but belt out a huge demonic laugh.

Actually i dont like Wakemans solo stuff very much at all, i just admire him as an overall musician and a fellow keyboardist.

Don't stereotype me.

Demonic? You should hang out with that bi-sexual witch we have running around here. And lets point out the guitarist from Soundgaren said that...not me.
