You need 50 posts, and Lennon is my favorite and I like their acoustic stuff mainly (black bird, hide your love away etc..).

explosions-in-my-pants 04-25-2006 06:20 PM

apperciated...

john lennon = the man

the_walrus 04-25-2006 06:20 PM

nice thanks man

TheBig3 04-25-2006 06:22 PM

I'm partial to the ever changing 5th beatle. But if we're swinging just the four, than I choose Paul, and can I just say Helter Skelter is pretty awesome?

riseagainstrocks 04-25-2006 06:23 PM

Never got really into them, but influenced countless artist, so

PREECH!

Kripes 04-25-2006 08:00 PM

So I heard that Paul, and Ringo are writing some new "Beatle's" stuff.

One of the greatest bands ever is all I have to say. I'll likely submit one of my two reviews I've written on "Please, Please Me", or "Let It Be...Naked".

Slowhand 04-25-2006 08:06 PM

Love 'em, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is my favorite song.

swim 04-25-2006 08:16 PM

I will never buy an album becuase I hate Michael Jackson but great great band and it's a shame they can't even own their songs. Much appreciation needed one of the most if not the most influential band.

bungalow 04-25-2006 08:16 PM

I love this band.
As most of you know.

Is that a fucking joke? If not, then...wow.

tdoc210 04-25-2006 09:03 PM

^ he may have done a cover good sir

Kripes 04-25-2006 09:06 PM

??? I don't understand what you mean. She said she won't buy their albums because Michael Jackson owns their whole catalogue.

tdoc210 04-25-2006 09:09 PM

umm yeah he is a she im led to beleive, but yes this is quiter ridicoulous good sir

Kripes 04-25-2006 09:14 PM

Haha, I remember her saying that during the silly arguement in the Nirvana-Lyrics thread. :p

tdoc210 04-25-2006 09:19 PM

^ u are generally a very good member ..so im not going to yella t u for giving nirvan a 1.5 /5 but anyways back onto the beatles not buying a record because someone else has one is very very silly

explosions-in-my-pants 04-25-2006 09:26 PM

that just means micheal jackson (known for being a older creeper boy rapping guy) has good taste in music .. other then the music he sang as a child (which was crap....but me love his 80's stuff  )

tdoc210 04-25-2006 09:28 PM

well, well, well, aren't you nice..

i have 12 or 13 records, and like 15 45's (pointless ones at that) but i only listen to my zeppelin records...every now and then my ac/dc one even tho i don't like them..

which reminds me i have a few beatles records... for a tiny records collection i have a few nice records in it, i used to listen to my beatle records a fair bit at one time, but in fear of damaging them i've not taken them out because someday... far, far away from now they'll be worth a lot of money.. along with my working nintendo :) not that i'll ever give either up. which i guess kind of shows my appreciation for the beatles and there albums..

Heeeeeeeey bungalowbill, what did you kill?

bruise_violet 04-26-2006 06:49 AM

Lennon is (was) the best Beatle in my opinion. Paul is a bit full of himself I think, but still a genius.

Kripes 04-26-2006 09:31 AM

Paul is definitely full of himself.^ John is the man.

People think it's weird I consider Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band their best album for some reason.

bruise_violet 04-26-2006 10:04 AM

Thats my favourite too, it's awesome.

Didn't Paul get the names on the songs changed from 'Lennon/McCartney' to 'McCartney/Lennon' after Lennon died?

explosions-in-my-pants 04-26-2006 10:06 AM

i don't know if thats true or not.. but whats the point in him doing something like that, does it matter which order the names go in, as long as they are there?

Kripes 04-26-2006 10:06 AM

Gosh, I can't remember which way it goes, but I know they settled it during the time they were together, and I don't think it was ever changed.

boo boo 04-26-2006 10:06 AM

Sgt Peppers is my favorite too.

Though it used to be a tug of war with Sgt Peppers, Revolver and The White Album.

White Album has filler, but a lot of amazing material more than makes up for it.

Well my dad told me it was because Paul thought he was better. Hmmm, it seems quite childish to me!

The White Album is overrated I believe. True, there are some great songs. But like you said, there is filler. Because of that filler (I find there is a lot on there) it is really only a 2.5, or 3 out of 5.

Urban Hat€monger ? 04-26-2006 10:49 AM

Revolver is quality

The White album has it`s moments too.

*leaves in a hurry*

PostPsychosis 04-26-2006 11:18 AM

I don't get the Beatles, I've tried to, but I never can see the appeal. I do like a couple of songs, but I've never heard anything amazing from them.

bruise_violet 04-26-2006 11:29 AM

If you had never heard of them and heard a famous song by them, you probably wouldn't think it was anything amazing.

I love The Beatles though, without them music would be pretty **** now.

PostPsychosis 04-26-2006 11:34 AM

Well the only songs of theirs I can name that I've heard is Strawberry Fields Forever, Blackbird, Come Together, and that one that goes "I am the Walrus ku ku ka choo" and of course all the poppy sounding stuff. Nothing against them though, they just aren't my thing, and I would gladly listen to them over most of the new "music" of today.

Urban Hat€monger ? 04-26-2006 11:36 AM

Listen to Tomorrow Never Knows & Helter Skelter & change your mind

bruise_violet 04-26-2006 11:37 AM

I Am The Walrus is genius, I love it.

Ah well man, if it's not your thing theres nothing wrong with that. But yeah they are a million times better than most music these days!

Kripes 04-26-2006 11:51 AM

Try the album Revolver out.
