It was in a Jim Morrison biography.

Well, atleast she smacked him in the head instead of his lower area.

I don't get why people dislike Morrison so much, he just partied hard.

I adore Jim! I'm a huge Doors fan in fact, Joplin too (that's funny by the way, that story haha.). And I laugh at everything so his drunken/drugged self amused me. And the solo's were amazing.

Abusing women.

And to be fair, Jim Morrison didn't specifically target women, he abused everybody equally. :D

I'm just saying he's not really any different from most rock stars today, and that most likely includes some of the ones you idolize yourself.

And I don't get this whole judging musicians/singers or whatever strictly by their personality (Bono haters, you know who you are) thing... God forbid I can find a big personality flaw in every rock star that has ever lived, I can go on about how Pete Townshend is a child porn lovin' douchebag, how John Entwhistle was a closed minded jackass who was quick to call all hip hop trash and that Keith Moon was a drug pushing wifebeater... Hell I'll just go ahead and say it, if you like The Who you pretty much qualify as a bad human being.

At least going by the logic that's being used.

Which of course would be ridiculous.
If we only liked artists that had a squeaky clean lifestyle...we'd all be Cliff Richard fans. :(
Which of course would be equally ridiculous, not to mention obscene.

As for the drunken junkie...he made good stuff.
I like the man's music.

In fact, I would happily strangle the life out of Cliff Richards, if it meant bringing Morrison back.
And never again having to hear some twat, singing that Summer Holiday song, everytime I board a plane.

But was it as Vince or as Alice? That's what I'd like to know.
