The reason Yellow Submarine is so hated is because it's not really a studio album, as it only contains four new songs. They should've made it an EP, and let George Martin release his composition on an own album.

I say hard days night for "If I fell"
That is the best beatles song.
The best pop song ever is the Beach Boys God Only Knows according to all the Beatles and Stones and most others of the age and it makes me think of my brother.

^ What constitutes "best"? Is it the number of sales, the rhythm, the lyrics, the voice, the bass, the guitar, the piano?

Subcomment: Nothing can ever be deemed the best or the worst thing when speaking in generalities, because it's all subjective.

That's the point of the forum. Music discussion, not determining the best or the worse. There's no such thing. Just diversity and different tastes.

What you enjoy the most. That's the only meaningful measure of artistic value.

Of course it is subjective. I don't think anyone is claiming that there is an objectively best Beatles album or objectively best pop song.

I agree with the first part you said, though, Minstrel.

His post said "I say..." and "...according to..."

So, there was no objective claims of best-ness. ;) Just opinions.

Wifey Boozer 09-06-2008 07:58 AM

I'm just picky. I just don't like it when people plainly say that "that is the best..." whatever, y'know? As an English major it just irks me :p:
