Default Do you think Heart deserves to be in the Rock and Roll HOF??

Based on the contributions from the original Heart line-up which was started in 68, and eventually wound up consisting of Roger Fisher on lead guitar, Steve Fossen on bass, Mike Derosier on drums, Howard Leese on rhythm guitar, Nancy Wilson on guitar and back-up vocals, and Ann Wilson on lead vocals...

No. But there are a bunch of other shitty bands that have also been inducted so I guess they set the bar pretty low.

You're right, the latest being Metallica... What in your opinion makes Heart ****ty? In all honesty, Ann and Nance are the ones who have kept them around, but they arent really the heart and soul. That sounds pretty contradictive (SP?) but it makes sense to me... Mike is still one of the most talented drummers I know, no bass player has the kind of tone or rhythm that mr. fossen has (see The Cafe Authors for his newer stuff), and my dad has just as much energy, or more, since his departure form the band in '79.

Haha, wow. That was pretty unexpected. Open mouth, insert foot for me, eh? No offense meant to your dad, I'm just not a fan of Heart's music. Mostly it's the vocals that turn me off.

Really? I've always thought Ann Wilson was one of the best female vocalists around...but to each his own.

I voted yes based upon the bands that actually do get in. Are they in my personal HOF? No. But they're infinitely better than U2 who is in the actual HOF.

LOL. I am by no means a big U2 fan but I have to say I think they get unfairly knocked a lot on this board.

U2's 80's stuff is fantastic. They should've broken up after that.
