Since when has KC ever been "any prog rock"? They are far beyond that meager little label, and even back in 69' they hated the term.

This doesn't really seem to be taste-related. I think some people voting for Hendrix because he's the only name some of them recognize/have listened to. Not that I'm surprised, but what can ya do...*sigh*.

I went with Hawkwind because I love them but was so tempted to vote for Hendrix to end this whole boring King Crimson love-in.
