So John had different priorities once he met the love of his life. Sad for us, but surely good for him. I have been distracted by love before...it happens.

Come Together? I Want You (She's So Heavy)? Because?

I personally thought Lennon had the strongest songs on the album after Harrison. IMO it was Paul's songwriting that got weaker after The White album, not John's.

Let It Be had Accross The Universe and Don't Let Me Down which are two of Lennon's strongest.

Granted Lennon did some terrible stuff, like the avant garde collaborations with Yoko, but Plastic Ono Band and Imagine were both super consistant, near pefect albums.

I'm also very sure you're taking that quote grossly out of context. But it's typical of songwriters to be self degrading anyway, the best songwriters usually are.

From all I've read, I absolutely feel Yoko is a bad person--a very bad evil person. You are foolish, or ignorant, to believe otherwise.

You people are nuts. I know I get too worked up over her... I hate her. I wish she was the one who was shot. But banned? WTF county are you posting from--Iraq? And no I don't like Lennon's later day Beatle stuff much (George and Paul were better), and I think his post Beatle stuff was by far the worst of the lot.

Sorry, man...but are you serious about this Yoko stuff? I know people out there think like that, but it is all a load of crap. Lennon made great music with the Beatles pre and post Yoko...Lennon made great solo stuff. There is a lot more crap compared to his output with the Beatles, but that is because he went solo and it was all him...there weren't 3 other amazing band members to contribute songs. Of course not everything was going to be solid gold.

I think we should leave the whole thing be, because John obviously really cared about her...she obviously really cared about him...they were very happy being together.
