When I was a Beatlemaniac back in my teens it was John, and I always made distinctions (still do somewhat) between his and Paul's songs, especially when playing and singing them myself. John was the freaked out one who pushed the boundaries while Paul always was more 'safe' (generally speaking). Nowadays though, I have to say that George earns the title of the overall most likeable Beatle. First of all, every song he contributed was good, something that probably was helped by his limited output, and furthermore some of them rank among the best Beatles tune ever ("While my guitar...", "Here comes the sun", "Taxman", "If I needed someone" etc.). In addition he also released what I think is the best solo Beatle album ever, "All things must pass".
