Yes. It's a pretty unique 10 second solo

What's so unique about it?

I don't mean to overthink/explain this but its 3:30 in the morning, I'm stuck in a foreign country, and I'm working my face off. That being said what I meant was...

You said it was unique. I'm saying its hard to be rote when you're the only one doing something. How many boring 10 second solos are there? I think its 2 steps up from a riff, and one step up from just playing a fill. No?

It utilizes fast triplets, exotic indian modal touches, and a melodic shape which traverses several octaves and ends with a breathtaking upward flourish.

Haven't heard too many guitar parts that sound like it. Learn how to play it and you'll see how the finger work is kinda different.

True. It's a hell of a lot more unique than your typical riff.

Whether or not the finger work is different doesn't actually make it sound any more appealing to me though.

Just the sound alone is unique.

So the Beatles should be admired because of their tuning?

blastingas10 03-04-2012 06:19 PM

I never said that. And it is to my ears, sorry.

And what do you mean by tuning? It's in standard tuning.
