Win Janszoon Over to the Beatles

This might be fun or it might just die an early death if no one is interested but here goes…

As I'm sure a lot of regular posters here are probably aware, I'm not a fan of the Beatles. However, it's been a very long time since I've sat down and given any of their albums a solid listen, and lately I've been enjoying so much 60s and 70s baroque-ish pop that I've been thinking if ever there was a time that I might be swayed into appreciating the Beatles more, it's right now.

What I'm proposing is this: Anyone who is interested, send me a Beatles album that you think might win me over. In return, I will promise to listen with an open mind and I will write a review of it in this thread.

Anybody up for it?

Edit: I've actually received a full load of the Beatles albums at this point and am working my way through them, writing reviews of each.

Sure -- I'm 'sending' you the Sgt. Pepper album, which you can enjoy by searching youtube.

You have to actually send it to me for me to review it. I do most of my music listening on my iPod.

I'm sending you Abbey Road. It won me over.

Thank you kindly! :)

It has two lame, inconsequential tracks, but other than that it's the most consistently enjoyable Beatles release I've yet heard. I find a lot of their albums quite patchy, with campy folkstuffs riddling otherwise great songwriting, and Abbey Road is consistent enough for me to love it. Just try not to turn it off because of Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Octopus' Garden, heh.

I'll send you a Beach Bods cd, that i'll have you running for the nearest Beatles album.

 I also laughed at "Beach Bods". I don't care if it was a typo lol

Does Mediafire still work? I'll see if I can manage to send you something. I've never actually uploaded anything on there so it might be disastrous.

I love the Beach Boys so that trick probably won't work, but you're certainly welcome to send me their first two albums since I don't have those. :p:

I'll send you Revolver, one of the greatest albums ever in my book.
