I did a speech on Jimi Hendrix for my GCSE thing...yes.
My fav song is 'all along the watchtower' even though it's by bob dylan isnt it?

Yeah, but Hendrix's version is better IMO.

Maybe not, however Malmsteen isnt very much of a improviser, sure the man can play his ass off in the studio and he can play those same solos note for note at live shows, but Hendrix has always done a better job of improv at live shows...His band of gypsys album is a prime example...And his woodstock performance too.


It takes a lot of creativity to be a good improviser.

He was a major influence on Hendrix to boot, Hendrix called him a mad genious... People give Hendrix credit for a lot of things, primarly his use of lots of distortion and feedback and techniques like pick scrapes and stacked amplification, things that Townshend was doing years prior...Rock music would be noticebly different without Pete Townshend.
id most definetly say jack white is better then pete townshend.

But he wrote a song called 'the ballard of jimmy' which said

that day five years later he went out at 2am in the morning to see some people, who, he wouldn't say who, then woke up and monika danneman took him to hospital or something and he died in hospital.
