How ironic Chula Vista picked this song. He got fooled by Frownland over & over & over again. I guess Chula Vista really never paid any attention to the words.

Stairway to Heaven is my favorite out of these, though All Along the Watchtower is a close second.

Good shout with Love to Love, fabulous song.

Sultans of Swing and Fortunate Son for me.

It is SO HARD to pick just ONE song. Classic Rock is my favorite genre, and there has yet to be a song from that genre I have came across and dislike.

It's a tie for me.

"Black Betty" - Ram Jam
"Werewolves Of London" - Warren Zevon

When I think of this genre, those are the first two to come to my mind.

Easily my favourite rock song right here. I often sing it when i'm smashed on a karaoke night

Boston - Foreplay / Long Time

For a long time I've considered these two the peak of songwriting in classic rock, but I'd have a hard time arguing that Stairway to Heaven isn't equally as well written, if not better. I think your list is fine in terms of historical significance as hits, but none of the listed tracks overwhelm me like the two above.

Hotel California is such an amazing song.

Oh my God. I remember when I listened to it for the first time. I was blown away!

Disagree on this one. I love Whole Lotta Love, but Satisfaction is so boring.

That daltrey scream is one of the top 10 moments of rock.

True, I almost cried when I read about it.

Yeah. Both.

And Bad Company.

And Zep. WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS! **** it! Drums in a freaking hallway. Man.

David Gilmour, Time. And all.

But PURE Rock, well... taste. My taste says this just rolls and rolls, immaculately assembled to the nth.

But I'm just gettin warmed up

Burton Cummings.

Bruuuuce, Born In the USA.
Hall and Oates, Maneater.
INXS, What You Need.
New Riders of the Purple Sage, Panama Red. (woooopsie how did that get in there.)

Maybe the very first "Rock" song I actually really listened to, and felt. It was not long after hearing a fantastic band do "Evil Woman" live in a local dive.

3:35, 4:40.....

And then Oye Como Va four-tenths of a second later. NOTHING beats that.
