Default [Request] looking for a song.

Sorry for requesting but I don't know where else to go. Ive been looking for this specific song for a while and finally asked my son for help, he pointed me to this website. Any help is appreciated. The song is not a stones song but is from that era and is called street fighter or street fighting man (again, not the stones song). I think the band is British, came out maybe 1966?? Thank you! !

Some idea as to what kind of song (rock, pop, fast, slow, male/female vox (assume male but you never know) would be helpful. Where did you hear it? How long ago? Would it have been on a soundtrack?

Hi Trollheart, thank you for your reply. It is a male band, male singer. Gritty, old rock sound, like old stones. It has a I heard it first on Pandora, I think, it came up while listening to some station (can't remember, but maybe stones, creedance, tom petty, even Bob Seger with a haunting, wee bit anthem sort of sound). There was a picture of the band, black and white photo, grainy. When I looked the band and song up, I was able to find it somewhere and I downloaded it (paid for it) - about 4 years ago (that hard drive crashed and I've looked at all the download places I might have bought it - might have been Walmart and their mp3 download site is now gone). Back then there was a guy who had a post somewhere about the band and called them one of the most overlooked and underrated bands of that era - 60's, maybe early 70's. I've done searches on Google, spotify, pandora, youtube, etc. and can't find the right one. I was using the song for a screenplay I was writing - imagined the song playing over the scene. I'm back to writing that screenplay and would love to find the song again! I imagine some audiophile would know the band and song Again, thank you for your time. Please feel free to ask any other questions if you have any. Take care for now!

Alternative TV, Triumph and Accept have songs named "Street Fighter" but that is 70s and 80s respectively. I can't think of a 60s group, unless perhaps it was by a Hot Rod/Garage - Rock band, maybe one Lolly Vegas was in. What about Link Wray? He had songs like Rumble and stuff like that.

One of our guys here is a virtual encyclopaedia on 60/70/80s hard rock and heavy metal, and he might be able to help you. His name's Unknown Soldier. Maybe ask him? Try sending him a PM (Private Message) by clicking on his username. He's very friendly and always willing to discuss bands be they obscure or not.

Lots of people have covered it. Could be Rod Stewart/The Faces. Might also be the Chesterfield Kings, even though they weren't from the '60s/'70s, but with their sound they may as well have been. Could even be Oasis.
