I'd love for people to say who they think I'm all about too, but I don't think I've been as outspoken abbout my faves as Batlord has.
It would be 1 right, 3 wrong

Not sure I'd put any country up there yet as I haven't been listening to it for long but I can see Dolly up there eventually. And honestly when I'm into ICP I don't listen to much else, but there can be months when I don't listen to them at all cause I'll burn myself out in a two-week binge. I won't argue though.

No Slayer. Worthless. And I barely even listen to Arkangel anymore tbh. I burned myself the **** out on Dead Man Walking. Surprised no one said Britney Spears too.

Tori Amos is spot on. Kylie is an old favorite, but not really top 4 material for me. M.I.A is way off, even though I like her music ;)

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-17-2017 07:12 PM

you called it then, one right

Frownland 10-17-2017 07:13 PM

Tori Amos
Joan Baez
Carly Simon

I'm not persistently annoying enough about pushing my tastes on people. I could learn from Batlord who has made whole threads dedicated to making people feel bad for not liking his faves

Still just one right, but I have been obsessing over Baez and Simon a lot this year.

I don't think anyone would get it right, so here's the rest:

Outside of Tori Amos, it would probably have to come down to Arkona, Waltari and especially Dir En Grey. I've mentioned all of them in here, but only very occasionally.

You're not ridiculous enough for that.

Not quite. OH said he would trust your opinion because you listen to free jazz, not because you listen to metal, so the point stands really. If he had said he respected you as an authority on metal because you listened to metal, then fair enough, but he didn't.

How would you even make that argument? You'd have to presume to know what people think and feel to know how to make that judgment.

I know for sure that I like what I like because I've followed my own path and it lead to where I am now. I don't know anyone who likes the same things I do.

All I know is I found my own music, without really the input of anyone else except maybe the radio, Kerrang! magazine and the odd rec from friends.

Sorry you're disappointed Trolls <3

It is, as they say, what it is.

Not even Rolling Stone.

EDIT: Not my opinion of Chula. Just trying to figure out who you're sneakily referring to.
EDIT2: Never mind. I realize I'm the only one who framed the discussion as more about people in here, not just people in general.

I'd hazard that would be me.

I've heard some good world music, some bad world music. I don't think that necessarily has anything to do with my lack of time for free jazz. How do the bands make money, though, if it's free?
