It is a shame the era fizzled out. Hunter S Thompsons passage about it always makes me feel a bit sad.
The 1980s Acid wave revived the love a bit but since then the world has been a bit too me, myself and I for me.

I went with White Rabbit but I probably would think of Strawberry Fields Forever first.

This song might not be the quintessential hippie song. However it's a song that I associate with Woodstock -- especially its laid-back rural theme. It's anthmeic in its own subtle way.
