I really do love the beach boys and just recently saw love and mercy which was great. The funny thing is though, that while Pet Sounds is definitely a masterpiece of 60s pop, to me it sounds wayy...

I respect her for trying to go outside the box with pop music - but at the end of the day her recent songs just haven't been catchy, which in the end is really the most important thing.

yea i kinda think that for most people the appeal of pop music is that it's more about fantasy and escapism than anything rooted in reality. so by getting too specific it would make it too "real" and...
