i'm at he bottom of mw wellspring of inspiration and have found it to be dry anyone think they can give me some ideas on what to write and sing about?

i have yet to post lyrics for my other band... which is popish because i don't like pop that much i'm the bassist. and the othher is still getting more people all we have is vocal , drummer, and maybe a guitaris. so if anyone is looking for a band we could use you.

any inspiration???

What type of music do your band play? That really alters the themes you can address (although singing off-theme is a nice idea too, I tried to write a love song from the point of view of a hamster living in the wild, Syrian desert, the other day for my band, who play in a kind of 'RCHP-do-punk/metal' style).

i've posted previous lyrics and for me to formulate them on my own is hard, so squeak usually get the skeleton of what will become a song and t hem i bring it to life by giving it a body and flesh and the breathe of life because all of squeaks lyrics are open ended so she knows i work poetic magic upon them and create a decently worthy to be posted work.

Well, the lyric I eventually want to get around to writing is about somebody who just found out that their girlfriend or ex girlfriend had an abortion and never told them, or even to try to right a similar situation but from the point of view of the girl (even harder to do). Its not something that I've ever heard a lyric, or even a poem, about even though its actually an incredibly common phenomenon (If you work it out from the government statistics the abortion rate actually works out at approx 1 abortion to every 2 women over the whole lifespan). This lyric would clearly take a lot of thought and probably more seriousness than I'll be capable of in my songwriting for quite a while, but you can give it a shot if you want.

the girl sound like my step mother, either way i sometimes go for a violent sounding lyric(Alice in wonderland) or a mystirous lyric(magical or merriment)or love(snowflakes) ect.. so i'm high and dry right now

Otherwise, write a song about:

Hating your neighbour for playing Cliff Richard.
Going blind from using the computer too much.
Being eaten alive by wolves, with your entrails flailing around all over the shop.
Holding a knife to somebody elses throat and wondering what you're going to do now.
Spiking somebodies popcorn in a cinema.
Being the fat kid in school but then proving everybody wrong (or right?) by growing up to be a champion sumo wrestler.
Treading on a frog and suddenly realising that you're going to go to hell for your deed (or be reincarnated as a frog yourself and end up getting trodden on).
Being a cowboy who's in the process of being scalped by an indian (native american!).
Being unable to escape an extremely bad smell that increasingly seems to resemble rotting flesh, only to realise that you're on fire and hadn't noticed.
