Lived by every black line
In your book of irrelevant poems
Held it closer to your heart
Than every person
you left feeling alone
Still it refuses to stop the bullet for you

Do you still question, how the rest remain so redundant?
Or are you beginning to understand
The falseness of the light shone upon the blood on your hands
And that there’s no one there to watch you,
Once you have pushed away all those
Who would choose answer your prayers,
However silent you pain yourself to make them.

I like it. I like it a lot. I like the part where hyou say you held it closer to your heart than anyone else. That's a powerful line.

i like it too. i think the 2nd stanza better than the 1st though.
